Located
just 15 minutes south of Des Moines, Iowa, Arabian Addiction Horses
offers
quality Arabians in all price ranges. We are a Malabar
preservation farm and specialize in the wonderful laid-back black Arabians
noted for size, conformation, intelligence, and versatility that Dr. Schmidt
bred for at her Malabar Farm. She combined the outstanding versatility
and endurance of the Crabbet-Maynesboro-Kellogg breeding with the disposition
and athleticism of the Babson bloodlines to create the perfect "live-in-your-tent" true
using Arabian. We stand Jamboree
Tuxedo, a 15-3 hand homozygous black straight Malabar stallion, taking
some time off after a heavy emphasis on jumping in 2006. At his first hunter/jumper
show
in April 2006,
he brought home a second
and
a sixth in large
classes, the only
Arabian in a sea of Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods! At his second show,
he brought home a third out of 17 in 2'0" Hunter/Eq Over Fences and
a third out of 25 in 2'3" Hunter Over Fences! At the 2006 Iowa Games,
he brought home a silver medal in 2'3" jumping against 13 competitors!
He LOVES jumping! We also stand a second homozygous black straight Malabar
stallion, Malabar
Denmark, the youngest black son of Malabar Farm's famous stallion
Malabar Duke. Malabar Denmark was
bred by Dr. Schmidt herself and has been shown in Western Pleasure,
English Country
Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, and Show Hack, besides carrying flags at rodeos.
Both stallions stand to the public for $600, LFG, live cover
or shipped semen. We have several black straight Malabar foals
due in 2011. Our foals are imprinted at birth, then handled and loved
on daily. Come visit
- after meeting our herd, you'll be an Arabian Addict, too! |
