Malabar Dauntless ( Malabar
Denmark X Malabar Sheen )
This fancy black straight Malabar performance colt
is Malabar Denmark's first straight Malabar
son, and only Malabar
Sheen's
second straight Malabar foal. Dauntless is 84.375% Crabbet-Maynesboro-Kellogg
bloodlines, with the balance of his pedigree Babson Egyptian, for an outstanding
versatile, using pedigree known for laid-back willing temperaments, correct
conformation, and great trot. He is 100% Early American Foundation breeding
(all lines trace to Stud Book V) The first five generations of
his
pedigree read like a who's who of outstanding early Arabians: Raffles,
Roda, Zarife, Abu Farwa, Joharah, Hallany Mistanny, Hanad, Gamil, Ibn Hanad,
Gayr, My Bonnie Nylon,
Joye, Sunny Acres Lovejoye, Prince Ebony, and Malabar Duke, to name a few.
He boasts 19 crosses to black in the first five generations and is likely
homozygous
for black since his sire has tested homozygous and his dam has produced
only black foals in 12 breedings. His tail female is Bint Yamama, who has
traditionally been considered a Jellabiet Feysul damline, from Yamama, making
his
strain Kuhaylan Jallabi. However, mitochondrial DNA has shown that
damline
to be from a different Yamama (the one who was also the dam of Mesaoud)
with a Ghazieh damline, which makes the strain Saqlawi Jidrani.
Imprinted and handled
extensively
since
birth,
this
laid-back gorgeous boy was born broke. He will be retained for the Malabar
Preservation program to eventually replace his sire.
