Malabar Denmark
(Malabar DukeX Malabar Mariah)
AHR #384662
Foaled July 19, 1987

The youngest black son of the Malabar Farm's famous stallion Malabar Duke and bred by Dr. Schmidt herself, Malabar Denmark is a true representative of the horse Dr. Schmidt was striving to produce, from his quiet laid-back temperament to his wonderful typey conformation to his beautiful flowing motion. Denmark is an outstanding performance horse who has been shown in Western Pleasure, English Country Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, and Show Hack. He has also carried flags at rodeos. This fall he went on his first trail ride, impressing the Fox Trotter and Quarter Horse people with his wonderful manners and willingness--no one believed he was 19, a stallion, or on his first trail ride! He also won a permanent post as my trail horse of choice. He's a dream to ride!

Denmark has impeccable performance bloodlines, being 100% Early American Foundation breeding, 25% Babson Egyptian, 75% Crabbet-Maynesboro-Kellogg. He has a Rodania (Blunt) damline, so his strain is Kuhaylan Rudan (Kuhaylan 'Ajuz of Ibn Rudan). He boasts 12 crosses to black in the first five generations and has tested homozygous for black. He has also tested SCID clear.

Denmark has sired 10 registered foals: 6 purebreds, and 4 half-Arabs out of paint mares. In 2006, he covered his first straight Malabar mares and several complementary outcross mares. We're excited about this new foal crop--many fine sporthorses! Denmark also stands to the public for $600, LFG, live cover or shipped semen. Contact Colleen Stowe for details.
