Malabar Sheen - ( Sunny Acres Romeo X Malabar Lovejoye)
This laid-back, pretty black mare features the last lines to Sunny Acres Romeo and Malabar Lovejoye in the straight Malabars. She was bred by Dr. Schmidt herself and is 93.75% CMK breeding, and 6.25% Babson. She is 100% Early American Foundation breeding. Her pedigree includes multiple crosses to Ibn Hanad, Raffles, and Roda, with lines also to Prince Ebony, Mirage, Mansour, Fadl, Zarife, Stambul, Ibn Rabdan, and Raseyn. Her tail female is Bint Yamama, who has traditionally been considered a Jellabiet Feysul damline, from Yamama, making her strain Kuhaylah Jallabiyah. However, mitochondrial DNA has shown her damline to be from a different Yamama (the one who was also the dam of Mesaoud) with a Ghazieh damline, which makes her strain Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah. To date, she has produced all black offspring. In June 2007, she produced a gorgeous black straight Malabar colt, Malabar Dauntless, by our homozygous black straight Malabar performance stallion Malabar Denmark.
